Kwara United beat MFM in friendly match

Date:

Kwara United pipped MFM FC 1-0 in a friendly football match at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Monday.

Shamsudeen Hashimu grabbed the solitary goal of the game in the fifth minute of play.
The two clubs who used the match to test their readiness of their players for the conclusion of the 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, threw everything into attack right from the blast of the referee’s whistle.
Speaking to Footballlive.ng at the end of the game, MFM FC head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu said, “I’m satisfied with the way my boys played. We wanted to use the game to see where we need corrections. Lapses noticed will be corrected for sure.”
“Kwara United gave us a good match and showed fighting spirit. I wish them the best in their remaining league games.
United coach Abubakar Bala was okay with the standard exhibited by the two teams.
“Just like my colleague (Fidelis Ilechukwu), I wanted to see the mental toughness of my wards. They gave a account of themselves against a very youthful side.
“The standard of the game was okay.
