Kwara United skipper Onigbari: Motivation and hardwork keeps us going

Date:

Central defender Hakeem Onigbari has stated that Kwara United’s success at the Gold Cup Tournament is as a result of motivation, hardwork and determination.

The Harmony Warriors are through to the final of the best preseason tournament in Nigeria. They will lock horns with Sunshine Stars at the Ondo Sports Complex on Saturday.
“The secret of our success is motivation, hardwork and determination,” the Kwara United skipper mused to Footballlive.ng.
“Coach Abubakar Bala has taken us as his own brothers. Our relationship with him is very cordial.”
“His message to us is to take every match serious through concentration, determination and self belief.”
“Every player want to give his best for a coach that is ready to motivate him. Coach Bala spends his personal money to get results. We go extra mile to get good results no matter how difficult the match is.”
The former ABS FC defender praised the efforts of the Prince Oladimeji Thompson led management in motivating the team.
“The management have been supportive. I really thank our able chairman, Prince Oladimeji Thompson. He is a father to the core,” he admitted.
“Despite his tight schedule, he makes sure he visits us, support the team with money and make sure our welfare packages are well taken care of as at when due.”
“For instance, he gave the team #100,000 on Thursday morning after addressing us. He charged us to go extra mile to win the tournament in Akure.”
“I think we are ready to play in the final against Sunshine Stars.”
“Though, it’s a preseason tournament, we would surely take it seriously, just like the way we approach other games.
“It’s a big opportunity for us, we did not have this chance last year. The dream of every player is to win in a cup final and by God’s grace my team will emerge victorious.”
“We appreciate each and everyone that has contributed their supports towards the team’s success; the management, media and our lovely fans.
