Flying Eagles’ head coach, Ladan Bosso, has expressed optimism despite the team’s unexpected 2-1 loss to Uganda in the African Games 2023 opener.
In the aftermath of the defeat, Bosso highlighted the significance of a positive meeting with the players, emphasizing the need for them to express themselves. Addressing the disappointing start, Bosso acknowledged the team’s desire for a different outcome but stressed the players’ clarity about the crucial matches ahead.
He stated, “We talked about football with the group, about how we can improve the mistakes we had and thus move on with a positive mentality.”
Bosso remained confident in the squad’s potential to rebound, citing the upcoming matches as opportunities to make a difference.
Despite the setback, he assured the players that anyone has the chance to be a starter in the subsequent games. Looking forward to the next challenge, the Flying Eagles will face South Sudan in their second Group B fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
The coach’s positive outlook and commitment to addressing mistakes aim to instill a renewed sense of determination and improvement within the team.
