Katsina United winger Tasiu Lawal has admitted the need for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to make a return.
The NPFL was initially due to continue on July 18 it suffered hitch due to the leadership tussle in the Nigeria Football Federation.
With Amaju Pinnick reinstated as the NFF chairman, there are indications that the top flight could resume as soon as possible and Tasiu says he is ready for the resumption of the NPFL.
“I can’t wait for the NPFL to make a return. Not only me but my teammates. We really miss the league action,” Tasiu told Footballlive.ng.
“We have been training hard. We want to win most of our last 14 games and finish as high as possible.”
On the possibility of picking a continental ticket, the forward said, “The target is to take each game as it comes. When we cross the bridge then target will be set.”
The Changi Boys will take on FC Ifeanyi Ubah in the week 25 of the NPFL.
