Leicester City boss, Claude Puel has uncovered more secrets of the recent burst of goals seen from Kelechi Iheanacho in the English FA Cup, as The Foxes’ manager says the youngster has a very good attitude.
Puel further noted that Iheanacho shows extra determination in training, stays fully focused on the pitch and is always disciplined in all that he does.
The French tactician, however, admitted that the 21-year-old Super Eagles star has had limited game time, and says he wants the player to make use of the few times he gets to play.
Iheanacho, who joined The Foxes for £25m from Manchester City last summer, has struggled to establish himself at the club.
He, however, powered The Foxes to the fourth round of the FA Cup after he scored a brace against Fleetwood Town and then got another in the next round against Peterborough United.
In reaction to the unfolding development round Iheanacho, Puel admits he is hopeful that the run of goals will boost the former Columbus Crew of USA forward’s confidence.
Puel stated: “I think Kelechi has kept a very positive attitude on the training ground, without game time and sometimes not being in the squad.
“He works hard on the pitch and this is the most important thing for a young player because sometimes he may get frustrated and disappointed.
“It is important to always keep a positive attitude and outlook and continue his hard work, especially for a young player because they must be patient to get game time. He is a good example.”
