Eugene Agagbe, the head coach of Lobi Stars, has expressed commendation for the extensive renovation work carried out on the playing turf of the Umuahia Township Stadium, the home ground of Nigeria Premier Football League side Abia Warriors.
Agagbe went further to state that, in his opinion, the quality of the playing surface surpasses that of the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, the home ground of Rivers United.
He praised the lush greenery of the field and emphasized that the stadium, once banned due to complaints, is now among the best in Nigeria.
The commendations come after Abia Warriors received approval to return to their home ground following the renovation efforts by the club’s management.
