Lobi Stars have made a significant statement ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season by unveiling 15 new players, including former Remo Stars forward Ossy Martins and experienced goalkeeper Akor Itodo from Gombe United.
The club’s management, led by Chairman and Benue State Deputy Governor Hon. Among the new signings, five players were scouted during a tour of local governments in Benue State, showcasing the club’s commitment to nurturing local talent.
Iorfa expressed confidence in the new additions, stating that they have all passed their medicals and are ready to don the colors of Lobi Stars, also known as the ‘Yes Father Boys’. He emphasized the club’s ambition to bring success to the fans and people of Benue State, crediting Governor Rev. Hyacinth Alia for his unwavering support.
In addition to Ossy Martins and Akor Itodo, other notable signings include defensive stalwart Mathew Arinze from Abia Warriors, Baba Tunde from Akwa United, Jide Williams from Bendel Insurance, and Valentine Igiga from Gombe United. The Pride of Benue also welcomed Ifeanyi Assurance from Bayelsa United, Segun Oluwatoba from Ijebu United, Jimmy Iteji from Plateau United, and Samuel Aniefok from Doma United.
