Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has returned to Atalanta’s training sessions after a brief absence, amid transfer rumors linking him to Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
Lookman was notably absent from Atalanta’s squad during their 4-0 victory against Lecce in their Serie A opener on Monday.
The Nigerian international has been a key player for Atalanta, contributing significantly to their success in the Europa League, scoring a hat trick against Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite Atalanta’s 2-0 loss to Spanish champions Real Madrid in the Super cup, Lookman delivered a strong performance. However, following the game, he requested to be left out of the squad as rumors of a potential move to PSG intensified. Arsenal is also reportedly interested in securing the services of the winger.
Despite these speculations, Lookman has now returned to training and made himself available to head coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
However, this return does not guarantee his continued stay at the club, as the transfer saga surrounding him is far from over, with Lookman seemingly closer to leaving than staying.
PSG has reportedly offered Lookman a five-year contract with a proposed salary of €4.5 million per season.
Arsenal is also preparing a bid worth €50 million plus bonuses, with the possibility of including Kiwior in the deal, either as a permanent transfer or on loan with an option to buy.
