Everton of England’s Nigerian-born winger, Ademola Lookman has declared that he loves playing under The Toffees’ manager, Marco Silva.
In contrast with initial reports that Lookman lacks passion for Everton, as he was said to be keen on rejoining RB Leipzig of Germany, where he spent last season on loan, footballlive.ng gathered that the youngster is happy at Goodison Park.
Lookman disclosed as much while throwing light on the impact Silva has made with the club in the unfolding season.
Silva been very vocal in his support for the 21-year-old ever since taking over at Everton in the summer, and recently handed Lookman a starting place against Newcastle United.
Although Lookman could not hit target with a goal in the encounter, the England youth international continues currying favour from Silva, and he has now reciprocated with sweet words for the Spanish tactician.
Lookman affirmed: “Nothing has changed. Not my character, my belief, my ambitions or my work ethic. None of it has changed. “I always give everything I have on the training pitch. It gives me great confidence that the manager has faith in me and I hope I can repay it.
“He wants me to score more goals and get more assists and to always be available, to always be in space and consistently be a threat to the other team.
“He gives me the licence to express myself and that allows me to feel free. And, the support of the fans gives me more confidence to play my football and show what I can do.”
