Lobi Stars of Makurdi new signing, Samuel Mathias has predicted that the club will win 2-0 away to UMS de Loum of Cameroon in Wednesday’s CAF Champions League preliminary opening match.
Though the former El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri star could not make the trip on account of injury, footballlive.ng gathered that Matthias is of a strong view that the quality of experienced players in the Middle Belt club’s squad will surely make a difference against their hosts.
Mathias, who also had a previous stint playing in Togo, said: “Lobi Stars will beat UMS de Loum. I see a 2-0 victory for Lobi Stars.
“We are capable of going all the way and winning the Champions League with the many experienced players in the team now.
“I believe soon I will be fit to get back to action. It’s just a slight muscle tear which is not that serious.”
