Former Super Falcons’ star, Stella Mbachu has expressed her delight for the Heartland queens team. The team played in the title playoff series (Super 6) for the first time in their history, and gave a decent of themselves and had a say in the eventual winner of the title as their 1-1 draw against Rivers Angels allowed Edo Queens emerge as champions.
Mbachu said the season was a good one, and she appreciated the players for making the team proud, highlighting that the qualification to the super 6 was a good experience
“It was very nice, we did our best. At least qualifying for the first time to be in the super 6, it’s not an easy task. I really appreciate the players because they did well to qualify. The experience is something good, and something to write home about. I really appreciate the movement and players for doing us proud, and that’s nice for us”, said the 46 year old.
