Plateau United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, has attributed his team’s 1-0 loss to Abia Warriors to a lapse in concentration during the match. Speaking to reporters after the game, Mangut acknowledged Abia Warriors’ superior determination and character which led them to secure victory.
The solitary goal of the game was scored by Samson Obi for Abia Warriors.
Mangut commented, “We faced challenges against Abia Warriors. There was a moment in the game where our players seemed well-coordinated, but we lost focus in the second half, which unfortunately led to the conceding of the goal.”
He further added, “Credit to Abia Warriors, they showcased a higher level of determination and character, which earned them the win.”
Expressing concern about Plateau United’s performance, Mangut emphasized the importance of securing points as the league season nears its end. He stated, “Losing points at this stage isn’t favorable for us, especially when considering our team’s targets.”
Following this victory, Abia Warriors have broken their four-game winless streak, climbing to the ninth position on the league table with 38 points.
