ABS FC winger Chigozirim Metu is happy to be back in the team as they battle for survival in the Nigeria National League (NNL), reports Footballlive.ng.
The explosive lad spent the last 15 months nursing an injury after he fractured his tibia following a heavy challenge on him by Kano Pillars’ Jamil Jamil in a top flight match last season in Ilorin.
Metu made his return to action as a substitute against Mighty Jets in a second tier match at midweek. The game ended 0-0.
“It feels great to be back. All glory goes to God,” he began.
“It’s been a while out with injury – 15 months – so it definitely feels good to be back to the team.”
“It meant a lot to me with the way that the fans reacted to me being back,” the pacy winger told Footballlive.ng.
The Abia born winger was a regular in the ABS team prior to his injury in June 2017.
