Nigeria professional football league side MFM FC of Lagos consolidated their position on the top of the group A table with a 3 – 2 comeback win against Niger Tornadoes at the Agege stadium in Lagos.
Tornadoes shockingly took the lead through Peter Abashiya in the 2nd minute while another long-range shot from Jonathan Osondu gave the away side a two-goal cushion in the 12th minute.
With the team in an unfamiliar position, MFM FC started their comeback with a 45th-minute goal from Abisoye Olawale. Ohanu Michael scored his first MFM goal with a clean shot to equal the scoreline in the 55th minute before Chuks Kenedinum broke the offside trap to break the heart of the away fans with a 93rd-minute goal to seal the win for the home team.
