Michael Emenalo went to War with Chelsea and put his former employer to the sword in the deal to sign Russian star Aleksandr Golovin.
Newly appointed AS Monaco Sport Director, Emenalo, launched a bid for 22-year-old Golovin, who was also a transfer target for Chelsea.
On Friday, the Ligue Un club announced it had signed the Russian from CSKA Moscow on a 5-year deal; believed to be around €30 million.
Snatching transfer targets from rivals is a specialty of Emenalo’s, who had done it it severally at Chelsea.
The Nigerian ended his 10 year association with the Premier League club in November of last year after a decade of massive success with the Blues.
