Mikel fails to inspire as Setubal suffers Quarter-final exit from Taca de Portugal

Mikel Agu’s Vitória de Setúbal crashed out of the Taca de Portugal on Tuesday night, falling to a 96th minute goal in extra-time.

The Three times winners of the were bundled out by Sporting Braga and Mikel Agu played the entire duration of the match.

 

Albeit the team had the extra motivation of playing at home inside Estádio do Bonfim, they couldn’t break down the visitors in the grueling encounter that lasted 120 minutes.

 

The Nigeria international, who is on loan from Porto, had previously made only one appearance in this season’s competition before his team’s quarter-final exit.

 

He was booked on Wednesday, the first caution of the game and his first in only three appearances in the competition’s history.
