Footballlive.ng gathered that the honourable minister who was summoned by presidential investigation committee over alleged funds diversion, the honourable minister made his written statement as well as submitted a haul of documents relevant to the case.
The minister appeared before the Special Presidential Panel for the Recovery of Public Property in a case of conspiracy and alleged diversion of public funds at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The sports minister was received by the panel’s chairman Obono Obla before he later met with the investigators to testify.
Several top NFF officials including president Amaju Pinnick, vice-presidents Seyi Akinwunmi and Shehu Dikko as well as executive committee member Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ have so far appeared before the panel.
Observers told footballlive.ng that Nigerians are eagerly awaiting the outcome of their investigations into the handling of the NFF finances in the past four years.
