Nasarawa United suffered a frustrating 2-0 loss to Rangers International in a match-day ten clash of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League, held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
This is ‘The Solid Miners’ consecutive defeat on the road, following their 1-0 loss to Sunshine Stars two weeks ago.
Reflecting on the game, Technical Director Kabiru Dogo lamented his team’s inability to capitalize on their chances.
“We ensured we kept the scoreline at par in the first half, and we dominated a larger chunk of the second half,” Dogo said.
“We just failed to convert our chances. We couldn’t maintain our intensity, and individual errors cost us the game today as Rangers utilized their opportunities.”
Dogo emphasized the need for greater consistency moving forward. “We will work on our consistency and look to bounce back in our next match.”
This latest defeat saw Nasarawa United drop to 14th place on the league table, with a total of twelve points.
They’ll have a chance to turn things around in their upcoming North-Central derby against Kwara United, who currently sit in 16th place.
The game is set for Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 4 pm at the Lafia City Stadium.
