Chelsea winger, Victor Moses is having a very bleak season at Stamford Bridge, but the former Super Eagles star is still ahead of Callum Hudson-Odoi in the pecking order of The Blues’ gaffer, Maurizio Sarri.
Footballlive.ng gathered that Sarri disclosed as much, when he affirmed that when he puts Moses on the bench it means the winger is blocking a spot for Hudson-Odoi.
That would give Moses some hope for the coming year, if he stays put at Chelsea against all expectations, as he is ahead of Hudson-Odoi in the long roll call of wingers available to Sarri.
However, with Moses not available for the Europa League clash against PAOK Saloniki, Hudson-Odoi was handed the opportunity of making the match day squad.
Heading into the game, Sarri said: ”I want to find space for him. It’s not really very easy because, at the moment, we have 28 players.
“So, for me, it’s not easy. Not easy to put him in the starting XI because, maybe, on the bench in the Premier League matches there was Moses or Pedro, so it’s difficult not to put that kind of player in the starting XI.”
