Moses In Line To Confront Inter Milan

Date:

Chelsea right-wing-back, Victor Moses has put himself in line to make The Blues’ squad for this weekend’s pre season friendly against Inter Milan of Italy.

This comes sequel to reports that the Super Eagles star has returned to limited training with the London club, though only with a handful of his colleagues, while they await the full squad to return from tour.

Moses is in contention to play against The Nerazurri on Saturday, in Nice, France, though he did not make Chelsea’s 25-man squad for the tour of Australia last Wednesday, as he had not returned to training before Maurizio Sarri named his roster.

However, Chelsea have uploaded photographs on social media confirming that Moses has joined fellow-World Cup participants, César Azpilicueta, Willy Caballero and Antonio Rüdiger in conditioned drills at Cobham.

Moses, though, will now have to adjust to Sarri’s new tactics, as he is expected to line-up in a 4-3-3 system, meaning the Eagles’ star will play either as a right side winger or right full back.

The ex-Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic dazzler, who played on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, before finally cementing his Chelsea shirt, appears better placed as a winger, due to his offensive qualities.

Nonetheless, now that he is back in training, he has come into contention to make the list for Saturday’s International Champions Cup match against Internazionale in Nice.
