Moses Says Eagles Will Soar Against England

Date:

Chelsea right-wing-back, Victor Moses has predicted that the Super Eagles will soar against England when both sides clash next month in a pre-World Cup friendly billed for Wembley Stadium, London.

With days fast ticking away to the high-profile match on June 2, Moses noted that the clash if no longer far away, and disclosed that the Eagles are eager to storm the British capital to battle The Three Lions.

While also affirming that he is personally looking forward to the big match, Moses stated on social media that the Eagles will be in Wembley to unleash what he called ‘Naija Takeover’ on their hosts.

The former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic winger, who previously played on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, has made 31 international appearances for the Super Eagles and has scored 11 goals since he made his debut in 2012.

Nigeria will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, ahead of which Moses believes playing England in a high-profile build-up match would pout the Eagles in the right frame for heroics at the Mundial.

Moses, who was instrumental in the Eagles’ Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, took to his Twitter handle to share his anticipation ahead of the game.

“Super Eagles are coming to Wembley! Not long to go until we meet the 3 Lions. #NaijaTakeover #SoarSuperEagles,” he tweeted.
