Moses Simon, Alhassan Yusuf, and Umar Sadiq Set to Start for Super Eagles Against Mali

Date:

Moses Simon, Alhassan Yusuf, and Umar Sadiq are poised to feature in the starting lineup for the Super Eagles’ friendly match against Mali on Tuesday.

Simon, who made a late appearance as a substitute in Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Ghana, offers versatility as a wing-back, potentially earning him a starting role in Finidi George’s preferred 3-5-2 formation.

Alhassan Yusuf is expected to replace the injured Frank Onyeka in midfield after Onyeka’s return to his club, Brentford, due to injury.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad’s Umar Sadiq is set to lead the attacking line following his exclusion against Ghana. The match, scheduled at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, will commence at 9 PM Nigeria time.
