KAA Gent of Belgium winger, Moses Simon has confirmed that he will be making a move to the English Premier League this summer, but stopped short of naming Brighton as his next port of call.
Though the former Trencin of Slovakia skilful star admitted he has a link with Brighton, he insists nothing is yet cast in stone and would rather not tie his hope down to a single club as his destination in England.
Last summer, Brighton reportedly failed with two bids for his services and rumours of a fresh bid in January also surfaced, but Simon remained at Gent, where he is viewed as one of the stars of the team.
The 22-year-old Kaduna-born former youth international said he would really love to join Brighton, but pointed out that the chances of any summer move materialising for him would be determined by his agents.
Simon retorted: “I can’t be talking of a bid by this time of the season because the summer transfer window just opened.
“However I know my exit from Gent will possibly see me move to a team in the English Premier League. Is it Brighton? I honestly can’t tell.
“Same way I can’t confirm or deny if a bid has been lodged by them because I am not in control of that aspect of my career.”
