Moses Simon has confirmed that he is fit to play for Nantes in their upcoming pre-season matches against Lorient and Crystal Palace, despite recent injury concerns.
Nantes had reported that Simon was dealing with an ankle injury after their friendly against Laval on Saturday, where he scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory. He was scared to miss out a large part of the upcoming season.
However, in a recent interview, the Nigeria international assured fans that the injury is minor:
“Yes, I felt some pains around my ankle, but I am good to go. I will resume training and play our next pre-season game against Lorient on Wednesday. It’s nothing serious,” he stated.
Moses Simon had missed three months of action last season due to an injury sustained during international duty in March.
