Chelsea right-wing-back, Victor Moses says he has turned his focus fully on this year’s World Cup, and hopes to take the winning aura from The Blues’ FA Cup success into action with the Super Eagles.
Moses said he is happy to end the season with silverware at his club, which he believes can now rub off on his outings with the Eagles in their build-up to Russia 2018 and at the competition itself.
Moses declared emphatically that he is looking forward to the World Cup in Russia next month after ending the 2017/18 season on a brilliant note by winning the Emirates Cup with Chelsea.
Moses, who will be making his second appearance at the FIFA World Cup, joined the prestigious list of Nigerian players to have won the Emirates Cup in England.
John Fashanu, Daniel Amokachi, Nwankwo Kanu, John Utaka, Celestine Babayaro, Mikel Obi and Alex Iwobi are the other Nigerians to have achieved the same feat.
“Just want to say a huge thanks to all the fans who have supported me and the team this season at @ChelseaFC,” Moses tweeted.
“Glad we could end it on a high for you on Saturday! Time now to focus on the World Cup and a big few weeks ahead with Nigeria ????????.”
