Former Super Eagles star, Victor Moses failed to make an appearance for Chelsea in their 3 – 2 win over Derby County in the English Football League Cup Round of 16.
Moses has made just six appearances for Chelsea this season despite being a regular under Conte in the previous seasons and was unlisted for the game against Derby County.
Chelsea on loan defender Fikayo Tomori and his center back partner Richard Keogh scored owns goals to give Chelsea the lead while Cesc Fabregas’ 41 minute goal decided the encounter in favor of the Blues. Jack Marriot and Waghorn Martyn scored the goals for Derby who lost the match on Frank Lampard’s first return to the Stamford Bridge as a coach.
Moses has featured less this season under Conte’s replacement Maurizio Sarri, with the Italian reverting to a back-four with Cesar Azpilicueta starting on the right.
Speculations about an imminent loan deal for the winger has intensified after UK’s online publication dailystar claimed Manchester United’s coach Jose Mourinho is interested in bringing the 2018 World Cup star to the Old Trafford in a shock move.
