Musa Aims To Justify Al-Nassr’s Huge Investment

Date:

Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia summer signing, Ahmed Musa says he is happy with his rich vein of form so early in his tenure with the club, but says he is determined to do better in the coming days, in order to justify the club’s huge investment in him.

Musa struck his fourth goal of the season at the weekend, before which he won a player of the week award after netting a hat trick and has also excelled with the team in the Asian Champions League, but the fleet-footed attacker says there is more to come.

Footballllive.ng gathered that Musa was again on song, as Al-Nassr demolished Al-Hazm 5-1, and the Super Eagles star, who was named the best player for September, opened scoring for the home side in the 26th minute.

Musa was on for the entire duration and ended with a rating of 8.6, after he completed 79% of his passes as well as 100% of his dribbles and made four key passes.

After the game, Musa said he is eager to keep scoring and shinning with Al-Nassr, as the former CSKA Moscow of Russia and Leicester City of England speedster hopes to prove the club right in the big money they paid for his signature.

Musa said he is happy that Al-Nassr agreed to sign him on from Leicester, with which he had struggled in the English Premier League, as the Saudi Super League side paid in excess of £20m to hook the deal.

“I am determined to justify the huge investment my club made on me,” said Musa, who is now joint-top scorer in the Saudi league.
