Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia attacker, Ahmed Musa smiled to the bank with a cheque worth over N970,000, following his emergence as the latest player of the week in the oil rich Middle East country.
The Super Eagles star gets the prize after notching a hat-trick in his side’s 3-0 victory over Al-Qadisiyah last Wednesday, and was on Monday presented with 10,000 Saudi Riyal (i.e. about N970, 045.83).
Footballlive.ng can report that the presentation came before Musa’s team got a 1-0 win against Al-Taawoun courtesy a 75th minute goal from Abderrazak Hamdallah.
Musa is now banking on back-to-back home matches with his club to help them go top of the league table.
Musa was ecstatic after a 1-0 win at home on Monday took them joint-level with Saudi Super League leaders, Al-Taawoun, and he believes they can go three points ahead with another home victory against Al-Hazm next week.
Al-Nassr maintained a perfect start to the season by beating the visiting Al Taawoun, and moved level with Al-Hilal on 12 points from four matches.
Musa’s club’s next league game will be at home against Al-Hazm on Thursday, October 4, ahead of which the former Kano Pillars, VV Van Venlo of Holland, CSKA Moscow of Russia and Leicester City of England star is already upbeat.
Before then, Musa expected to continue his impressive performances when Al Nassr take on Al Jazira in their second leg encounter on the continent on Saturday, September 29.
However, the 25-year-old attacker-cum-winger, who again played all 90 minutes on Monday, said he is looking forward to the next league match, as Al Nassr are currently second with an inferior goal difference to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Arabian Pro-League table.
Musa wrote on social media: “Another good victory on Monday, now joint top of the league table, and another match at home coming next. AL NASSR can stay on top.”
