UAE 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup-winning captain, Musa Mohammed has taken his search for a career revival to Croatia, as he has sealed a deal with NK Gorica on a free transfer.
This comes after the former Super Eagles invitee was released by Istanbul Basaksehir of Turkey, after three years in which he failed to stamp a foot in the main team.
Since joining Basaksehir in 2015 as an 18-year-old promising right full back, Mohammed had been out on loan twice in three years with no league appearance but he played in 11 Turkish Cup games in his only full season at the club.
Now 21, Mohammed’s career has not blossomed as expected after wowing the world at UAE 2013, such that his decision to join modest Gorica is to finally establish himself at club level.
With that in mind, he has agreed a three year deal with the option of an extension at the end of this campaign, ahead of which he will be presented to the media on Monday, after his medicals.
Mohammed would then hope to build on the progress he made last season at Lokomotiv Plovdiv of Bulgaria, where he made 16 league appearances and got a goal to his name.
