Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia attacker, Ahmed Musa has promised that the Super Eagles will put up a spectacular performance against Uganda in next Tuesday’s international friendly at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba as a mark of appreciation to Delta State for giving them a cordial stay.
Musa also expressed optimism that he and other players will get a good result in Johannesburg on Saturday, in order to justify a dinner promised them in Asaba by Delta State governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
Okowa, who stated his gratitude to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for allowing the team camp in Asaba, promised to host the Eagles on their return from South Africa, irrespective of the result.
However, Musa went ahead to declare in his response that the Eagles will not settle for less and they want it to be a celebration dinner, after picking an early AFCON 2019 ticket with a win on Saturday.
Musa responded: “We thank His Excellency, Governor Okowa, so much for the motivation to us to do well in Johannesburg on Saturday.
“We promise that we will return here on Sunday with victory. We will also do all we can to give the people of Asaba and the generality of Delta State and Nigerians a very good game against Uganda next Tuesday.”
