CSKA Moscow forward, Ahmed Musa sparkled in training with the Super Eagles, ahead of the friendly game against England at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday.
Musa was very lively yesterday and it showed in the way he finished a swift counter attack move which he started. His return to form can be linked with his loan spell in Russia with CSKA Moscow.
After an unhappy spell in the first stanza of last season with Leicester City, he rejoined CSKA Moscow on loan and immediately regained the form that made the then English Champions splash $16m on him 18 months ago.
Expected to be among one of the forwards in the final 23 man list of the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Friday’s performance confirmed his readiness for the World Cup.
His link up play with Simy Nwankwo and Kelechi Iheanacho in attack stretched the Leon Balogun led defence line which had Shehu Abdullahi, Leon Balogun and Bryan Idowu during the training session.
