The head coach of Leicester City FC Claude Puel showered accolades on Super Eagles Stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi after the duo came on to rescue a point for the Foxes against Brighton on Saturday.
Leicester were a goal down and a man down in the opening 30 minutes, due to James Madison red card at the 28th minutes.
The head coach who later introduced Ndidi minutes in the 32nd minutes , shortly after the red card, while Iheanacho replaces Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki with 20 minutes left to on the clock.
The embattled Super Eagles striker won a late penalty and it was calmly converted by another substitute Jamie Vardy to the delight of the former Southampton head coach.
Coach Puel told LCFC TV in an interview monitored saying “I’m happy for all my players. The players that came off from the bench gave also a good a fight to maintain a good level in the game”
He said, the quality of Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy and the rest of the squad moved like a single from the same point which i was delighted about.
It could be recalled that ndidi missed the Super Eagles 2019 AFCON qualifier clash with South Africa in Johannesburg through suspension, while Iheanacho featured in the game.
Leicester City are now 10th on the log with 18 points from 13 games played so far.
