Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder, Eddy Ogenyi Onazi has added his voice to fervid agitations that Leicester City star, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi should have been included in the 2018 CAF All Star 11 announced on Tuesday.
Although former Super Eagles left-back, Celestine Babayaro countered during the week that Confederation of African Football (CAF) were in order with their choices for the all-star team, Onazi insists Ndidi should have been included.
Footballlive.ng reports further that Onazi was shocked to hear that Ndidi was snubbed from the best eleven squad list, which CAF diplomatically stated was selected by FIFPro.
Onazi stated during a cable television programme monitored by footballlive.ng: ”One person I recommended and I feel should be there is Ndidi
“When I was watching, I was ashamed of myself and I know some other people are the same.
”I felt that Ndidi and then several of our players who are doing very well. It is not something good for us.
“It is something that we are supposed to have our players nominated – but this is. It is time for us to push.”
