Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has shared how Steve Cooper influenced his decision to sign a new contract with Leicester City.
The Nigerian international chose to extend his stay with the Foxes despite attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.
“I’ve had a chance to speak with [Cooper]. I spoke to him during the holidays when he came in,” Ndidi told the official website.
“He had some good ideas to share with me, so it was really, really amazing, and I’m looking forward to working with him.
He’s a great guy, he’s funny. I look forward to working with him; it’s very exciting.”
Ndidi was a free agent after his previous contract with the former Premier League champions expired at the end of last month, but he has now decided to remain with the Foxes.
