Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was the main man in Leicester City’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
The defensive midfielder was instrumental in creating both of Leicester’s goals, taking his assist tally in the Premier League to 12, surpassing Nigerian legend, Austin Okocha’s record of 10 assists.
Leicester manager Steve Cooper deployed Ndidi in an attacking midfield role behind Jamie Vardy, and the pair combined for the Foxes’ first goal.
Ndidi’s perfectly timed through ball allowed Vardy to round the Crystal Palace goalkeeper and score into an empty net.
Early in the second half, Ndidi seized a loose ball and set up Stephy Mavididi to double Leicester’s lead.
Crystal Palace responded with a goal from Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Mateta later equalized with a stoppage-time penalty, denying Leicester their first win of the season.
