Remo Stars captain, Nduka Junior, has dismissed any notion of revenge as the focus of Nigeria’s CHAN team ahead of their upcoming encounter with Ghana.
Speaking from the Super Eagles B camp, the young defender confident in the quality of the squad confirms the team is ready for victory.
“No doubt, the last time we faced them, they could get us. I pray it won’t happen again this time around. We are really preparing so hard to cross the bridge this time around,” Nduka said.
“I wouldn’t say we are going for revenge because it’s a bunch of talent that was invited to come during the two weeks training programme.”
Amid the high stakes, Nduka Junior injected a light-hearted moment, comparing the match to the friendly rivalry between “Ghana Jollof and Nigerian Jollof.”
“It’s a battle of Ghana-Jollof and Nigerian-Jollof.”
