NFF Denies claims Waldrum Contract Agreed

Date:

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has firmly denied reports suggesting that their technical committee is on the verge of inking a one-year contract with Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum.

Waldrum is yet to reach a deal with the NFF, but the technical committee has been instructed to initiate discussions with the American coach about a potential fresh contract.

Following his successful outing with Nigeria at the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Waldrum expressed his desire to continue in his role until at least the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

In a recent statement by the NFF Media Director, Ademola Olajire, the negotiations with Waldrum would soon commence and dismissed reports that a deal has been finalized.

“Nobody has talked about how many months/years the Falcons coach will be given. This will only be known after the technical committee’s discussions with him.”
