NFF Election: Club Owners congratulate NFF boss Pinnick, other board members

Date:

The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria (Club Owners) have congratulated the president of the Nigeria Football Federation Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick on his historic re-election as the number one man in charge of football administration in Nigeria.

The Association also felicitated with other members of the NFF executive committee elected at the 2018 elective congress of the soccer body held Thursday in Katsina state, north west Nigeria.

According to a statement issued by the Association and jointly signed by the chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka, Club Owners described the re- election of Pinnick as historical as no former head of the football house had achieved such feat.

It said the re-election was not unconnected with the transformation efforts of the Pinnick board in its first tenure which elevated Nigeria football to international recognition aside numerous initiatives that brought about unprecedented sponsorships and near total financial independence by the federation.

Club Owners enjoined the re- elected leadership to strive harder to consolidate on its previous achievements and to improve on other areas to ensure rapid development and growth of Nigeria football.

The Association commended the peaceful conduct of the election, the maturity shown by all the contestants, the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by the loosers and charged the new leadership to be magnanimous in victory and embrace all stakeholders in order to collectively move the game of football forward, with an assurance to give the board an unflinching support to excel.
