The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to unveil the new head coach for the Super Eagles by the end of next week.
This was disclosed by the NFF’s Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen, in Abuja following the Technical Committee’s discussions on the appointment.
The Super Eagles’ coaching position has been vacant since the resignation of former coach Finidi George, who stepped down after managing two qualifiers.
“We have not yet concluded all the necessary procedures required before announcing the new coach,” Eguavoen stated.
“However, I believe that by next weekend, we will let Nigerians know who the new Super Eagles coach is.”
The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Benin on September 7 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Three days later, they will travel to Kigali to take on Rwanda in the AFCON qualifiers.
