First vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has stated that the football body will continue to ensure that they monitor the development of players in the age grade national teams.
According to the astute administrator, the NFF will mentor such players beyond their playing careers.
“It is imperative to ensure players coming through the ranks have a lot of things to aspire to do in the game so as to help them build a life outside football,” the Lagos State FA Chairman told Footballlive.ng.
“Education is a long lasting legacy for footballers. That’s our major priority for players coming through the youth ranks. It will serve them better in their chosen careers.”
“This will serve them after their playing days rather than throwing financial incentives and in the process kill their hunger and aspirations.”
