Nigeria-eligible winger Noah Okafor has extended his contract with the club, which has been confirmed by Swiss Super League side FC Basel.
Basel has extended Okafor’s contract for another three years and the deal which was signed today will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.
The 18-year-old joined FC Basel as a U9, rising through the ranks before making his professional debut on May 19, 2018, against FC Luzern.
Commenting on his new deal, Okafor said:
”I have been playing for FCB since 2008 and have been able to develop my skills step by step.
”My debut against FC Luzern last season and my first two Super League goals against Xamax made a childhood dream come true for me. I am extremely happy and proud to play for this club”.
Okafor has appeared in 15 matches across all competitions for FC Basel’s first team in the current campaign.
