Nigeria is only one of six Countries presenting two Referees at the 2018 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, as CAF reeled out the names of the match officials for the 11th edition of the competition.
The Nigerian duo of Ndidi Madu and Mimisen Iyorhe are among 25 Referees selected by CAF’s Referees’ Committee to handle game proceedings across the 16 matches that will be played in the competition.
Madu, 30, earned her international status in 2018, although she’s has already been listed to officiate in the NPFL and NNL.
Her compatriot, Iyorhe is a 34-year-old assistant Referee and she earned he international status in 2012.
Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Zambia all have two Referees selected from each Federation.
The 11th edition of the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nation gets underway on November 17 in Ghana, with the matches to be played in Accra and Cape Coast.
