Nigeria Gets Two Referees For AWCON 2018

Date:

Nigeria will have the privilege of two of the country’s female referees in duty at this year’s African Women Cup of Nations in Ghana.

Footballlive.ng gathered that the female arbiters, Madu Ndidi Patience and Mimisen Agatha Iyorhe, were selected by Confederation of African Football (CAF) after a recent training programme.

Madu and Iyorhe have now been named in the final list of referees that will be officiating at the 11th AWCON, following their successes in the training scheme that had 32 referees in attendance.

Including the two Nigerians, a total of 13 centre referees and 12 assistants have been selected for the tournament this month in Accra and Cape Coast, Ghana.
