Nigeria midfield enforcer Obinna Nwobodo played full throttle of Ujpest’s 1-0 win over Versa SE in the Hungary NB1 at the Szusza Ferenc Stadion on
The win sees Ujpest climb into seventh after three rounds of games in the NB1.
The Lilák recovered from Thursday’s loss to Sevilla in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League qualifier. They bomarded Versa with their breathtaking counter attacking style of football but could not get the opener before the game went into recess.
Ujpest continued from where they left off in the first half but again failed to break the stubborn defense of Versa.
However, the home side got their reward in the 66th minute courtesy of Alassane Diallo who grabbed the only goal of the encounter.
Nwobodo gave a good account of himself with his all action display in the NB1 week three fixture.
The former Flying Eagles midfielder has now played all games for the Lilák since the start of the season.
