Former Nigerian international, Friday Ekpo has stated that players of the Super Eagles must do everything possible to ensure that they get the maximum 6 points when they face Libya in Uyo and Sfax in a Group E fixture of the 2019 African Cup of nation’s qualifiers.
After watching the Super Eagles fail to qualify for two consecutive Africa Cup of nations tournaments in 2015 and 2017 and starting the 2019 qualification group stage on the wrong foot by losing to South Africa in Uyo, the former Calabar Rovers star has advised the team to stay focused.
Ekpo said “We must do everything possible to win the game because if we do, we will have the opportunity of going first or second on the table. We must not take anything for granted and the coach must also select the best players for the tie.”
Ekpo is also confident that the Super Eagles can get six points out of the Libyans.
