CSKA Moscow of Russia attacker, Ahmed Musa has disclosed that he and his colleagues in the Super Eagles will be all for victory against Croatia on Saturday, because they need to start the World Cup on a winning note and get maximum points in the group.
Though Musa admitted getting victory in all three Group D matches will not come easy, the lad on loan from Leicester City reckoned that the Eagles should be able to beat Croatia and Iceland, than seek an upset versus Argentina during the last first round clash on June 26.
Musa noted that their first game against Croatia on Saturday will be difficult, but says he is still hopeful that they will win, in sspite of the opponents having in their ranks Real Madrid’s Luka Modrić, Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitić and Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren.
He stressed that Nigeria must target six points if they are to qualify from the group, but they must target wins over the first two before facing Argentina to achieve their goal.
Musa expatiated: “’We need a maximum run. I think we need six points. The plan is to win the first two games.”
