Nigerian Greece-based Striker reveals World Cup Regret

Date:

A.P.S Zakynthos Forward Besto Azu isn’t ruling out playing for Nigeria over a decade after he was missed the chance to win the World Cup.

Azu, who currently plays for Greek third division side APS Zakynthos, lost his place in the Eaglets side that won the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup under Yemi Tella.

In a chat with Brila.net, the striker couldn’t hide his desire to dorn the Green and White and made no secret of his dream to represent the Country.

He however noted that the biggest fight he’s focused on at the moment is helping his club gain promotion to the Football League in Greece.

Former Super Eagles Head Coach Austine Eguavoen is the head Coach/Technical Director at Zakynthos.
