Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo was in the heart of the Leganes defense but was unable to stop La Liga defending champions Barcelona, inspired by Lionel Messi to a 3 – 1 win on Sunday.

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was an unused substitute in Levente’s 2 – 0 win over Real Valladolid in the La Liga Santander on Sunday. The Nigerian international was in action for the team for 90 minutes in their loss to Barcelona a week ago.

Super Eagles youngster Samuel Chukwueze was a second half substitute in Villarreal’s 1 – 1 draw at home to Atletic Bilbao as they race against time in their bid to avoid relegation in the La Liga Santander. Chukwueze was introduced into the game in the 59th minute for midfielder Pablo Fornals.

Nigerian youth sensation Taiwo Awoniyi scored the winning goal as Royal Excel Mouscron beat Oostende 2- 1 to increase their chances of avoiding relegation at the end of the season in the Belgian first division on Sunday. Awoniyi scored the winning goal two minutes after being brought on in place of Frank Boya in the 66th minute.

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was instrumental for Charleroi as they ran out 1 – 0 winners over second placed Club Brugge in the Belgian pro league on Sunday. The Nigerian international was substituted off in the 90th minute of the game for Jeremy Perbet.

Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu was instrumental his team Bordeaux as they ran out one nil winners over Dijon in the French Ligue 1 one Sunday. The Nigerian international who has been in superb form in 2019 provided the assist that led to Andraes Cornelius’ goal in the 77th minute of the match.

Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Agu was in action for Vitoria Setubal who lost 2 – 1 away at Aves in the Portuguese Primiera Liga on Sunday. Agu was substituted for striker Valdu Te in the 80th minutes as the team went in pursuit of an equalizer.

Nigerian youth international Chidera Ezeh was an 80th minute substitute for Portimonsense in the Portuguese Primiera Liga on Sunday as his team defeated Boavista away from home 2 – 0. The 21 year old midfielder was introduced into the match in place of Brazilian center forward Dener.

Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme played all 90 minutes for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig but was unable to help his team avoid a 4 -2 home defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir.
