The Nigerian U-17 women’s football team, the Flamingos, demonstrated dominance in a remarkable 6-0 win against the Central African Republic during the first leg of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup second qualifying round in Douala.

Harmony Chidi and Prisca Nwachukwu set the tone with early goals, followed by Chidi securing her brace and Shakirat Moshood contributing to the onslaught just before halftime.

The relentless Flamingos continued their scoring spree in the second half, with Etim Edidiong and Moshood adding two more goals. With a commanding lead, Nigeria looks poised for success as they prepare for the return leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Friday, February 9, 2024.

The upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, hosted in the Dominican Republic, promises to showcase the talents of emerging football stars.
