Nigeria’s Zaidu Sanusi Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery, Faces Eight-Month Layoff

Date:

Nigerian defender Zaidu Sanusi has undergone a successful knee surgery at a hospital in Sao Francisco, Porto.

The surgery, supervised by Professor Jose Carlos Noronha, was necessitated by an injury sustained during FC Porto’s league clash against Estrela da Amadora two weeks ago.

Sanusi, who plays as a left-back, is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight months, ruling him out for the remainder of the current season.

The 26-year-old is set to return to action at the start of the next season. Sanusi has made five league appearances for Porto in the ongoing season.
